JP112 Stainless Steel Axial Expansion Joint Copper Tube Ended

Specification

Axial expansion joint consisting of stainless steel grade 316 bellows assembly fitted with standard copper (Table X) tube ends, for use with compression or solder fittings.

Application

Stourflex axial expansion joints are designed to accommodate pipe movements in an axial plane (straight runs) due to thermal expansion. The Type JP112 is designed for use in perimeter heating systems and is not suitable for Domestic Hot Water / WRAS applications please see the JP114 & JP115 for products to suit these applications.

  • Maximum working temperature 100ºC.
  • Maximum working pressure 6 bar.
  • Stourflex axial expansion joints should not be used at both their maximum working temperature and pressure respectively.
  • Maximum test pressure = 1.5 x working pressure or 1.5 x end connection rating, whichever the lower.

Lagging

Stourflex are now able to offer a tailor made flexible lagging jacket to help reduce heat losses on LTHW systems and heat gains & condensation on CHW systems. Please ask for pricing or more information.

Stourflex Type JP112 axial expansion joints are available for manufacture with alternative tube end materials, they can also be manufactured at longer lengths to provide more movement.

Stourflex axial expansion joints are supplied at their maximum overall length and must not be extended.

Expansion joint convolutions should be protected from damage caused by rotational forces during installation.

Axial expansion joints must be securely anchored and adequately guided to ensure their correct performance.

Omitting anchors and guides may result in failure of the system.
