JP360 Inertia Base

Specification

Inertia base manufactured from fully welded carbon steel zinc plated frame complete with Type JP 361 open spring mounts.

Large inertia bases may be supplied in two or more sections, these should be bolted together and welded on site prior to filling with concrete.

Inertia bases will be sized on a ratio of 1: 1.5 and assuming concrete with a density of

2300 Kg/m³ will be used. The anti-vibration mounts will be selected assuming equal load distribution on all mounts.

Application

Stourflex inertia bases are designed to reduce the transmission of noise and vibration from equipment to building structures and associated pipework. When installed with Stourflex rubber bellows or pump connectors they will provide the solution to noise and vibration problems in plant rooms. For use on pumps compressors , generators, air handling equipment and other small items of machinery.

The Type JP360 inertia base is designed to match the size and weight of the equipment in need of isolation. The equipment manufacturer’s name, model and reference number must be provided at time of order.

The inertia base can be supplied empty or when required filled with concrete.

The table above gives an indication of the weight of typical inertia bases empty and filled with concrete.

Pump or associated equipment should not overhang the inertia base.

Stourflex products should be installed in accordance with our fitting instructions.
